HR Associate
Overview
This is a fixed term maternity-cover role
The HR Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR function and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Acting as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries, this role combines administrative responsibilities with involvement in strategic HR projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving HR initiatives that align with organisational goals.
Job responsibilities
– Serve as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries.
– Administer HR documentation, including contracts of employment.
– Maintain and update HR databases to ensure accuracy and compliance with legislation.
– Answer calls to the switchboard and direct as required.
– Act as the first approver for expenses.
– Manage travel and hotel bookings.
– Manage the new starters and leavers processes, including induction planning.
– Review and update HR policies.
– Manage Health and Safety compliance, including DSE assessments.
– Approve holiday requests.
– Administer Breathe HR system.
– Prompt line managers for monthly 1-2-1s and 12-month reviews and document these in Breathe HR files.
– Document HR processes for consistency and compliance.
– Work with the Operations Director on HR related projects.
Skills and attributes

About you

– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar HR role.
– CIPD Level 3 qualified or above.
