Marketing Executive
Overview
This is a fixed-term maternity cover role
The Marketing Executive will play a key role in executing Highgate’s marketing plans across digital, content, campaigns, and events. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, is organised, and wants to build experience in B2B marketing within the IT sector.
You’ll work closely with the Marketing Director and collaborate with sales, vendors, and external partners to deliver consistent, effective marketing activity.
Responsibilities
Campaign and content support
– Support the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns (e-mail, web, social, events)
– Create and edit marketing content including e-mails, landing pages, blog posts, case studies, and sales collateral
– Maintain and refresh website content in line with messaging and SEO best practice
– Support customer case study development (interviews, drafts, approvals)
Digital
– Build and send e-mail marketing campaigns using marketing automation tools
– Maintain contact lists and ensure GDPR-compliant data practices
– Support basic reporting on campaign performance (opens, clicks, conversions)
Social media and brand
– Manage day-to-day social media activity (primarily LinkedIn)
– Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials
– Support internal communications and employer branding activity
Events and partner marketing
– Assist with the planning and promotion of webinars, partner events, and trade shows
– Liaise with technology vendors on joint marketing activity and MDF-funded campaigns
– Coordinate logistics, follow-up communications, and post-event reporting
Reporting and administration
– Track marketing activity and maintain campaign calendars
– Produce regular performance summaries for the marketing team
– Support CRM hygiene and lead handover to sales
Skills and experience
Essential
– 1-3 years’ experience in a marketing role (B2B preferred)
– Strong written communication skills
– Well organised with good attention to detail
– Comfortable working with multiple projects at once
– Confident using Microsoft 365
– Basic understanding of digital marketing channels
Desirable
– Experience in IT, technology, or professional services
– Familiarity with e-mail marketing or marketing automation platforms
– Experience working with a CRM
– Basic knowledge of SEO and website CMS platforms
– Experience working with external agencies or vendors
