HP's current push is the AI PC: machines with a neural processing unit (NPU), a third processor built for AI work. It runs jobs like transcription, translation, and noise suppression on the device itself. That changes three things in practice, on every HP AI PC including the two featured below.
Copilot, live captions, and background effects run on dedicated silicon, so the machine does not slow down at the exact moment somebody starts using them.
The NPU does AI work at a fraction of the power the main processor would burn. Across a day of back-to-back calls, that is the difference between five o'clock and hunting for a charger at two.
