About the organisation
Invicro is a global research partner to pharmaceutical, biotech and contract research organisations, part of the REALM IDx Group. With teams across North America and Europe, it operates in an environment where cross-border collaboration and data integrity are non-negotiable.
THE CHALLENGE
Situation
Invicro’s IT users were split across the USA and UK, with each region operating its own separate Microsoft 365 tenant. Teams in both locations were working from different data sets, collaboration was difficult, and the organisation often felt – operationally – like two separate businesses rather than one.
Problem
When Microsoft released a multi-geo licence for Microsoft 365, Invicro identified an opportunity to consolidate its tenants while keeping data resident in the appropriate region. Without the internal expertise to execute the migration, they needed an experienced partner to deliver it – seamlessly and with minimal disruption.
Pain points
• Two separate Microsoft 365 tenants creating siloed data across US and UK teams
• Poor cross-border collaboration and user experience
• No internal resource to execute a complex tenant migration
• Brand fragmentation across two entities requiring consolidation under a single domain
THE SOLUTION
Working alongside CNNECT, Highgate provided a professional services team to plan and execute the migration over a single weekend – minimising disruption to Invicro’s users.
The team implemented the multi-geo licence and used Quest OnDemand to automate the consolidation of Invicro’s US and UK tenants, keeping the project on time and reducing the manual effort required.
What we delivered
• Multi-geo Microsoft 365 licence implementation
• Full tenant consolidation – US and UK environments merged into a single entity using Quest OnDemand
• Improved user experience for Invicro staff across all geographies
• Invicro branding consolidated under a new Invicro.com domain
THE RESULTS
The migration was completed over a single weekend, with no disruption to either the US or UK teams. Invicro now operates from a single Microsoft 365 tenant, with consistent data access and a markedly improved user experience across the organisation. The project also completed a brand consolidation, bringing all users under the Invicro.com domain for the first time.
'Our user experience across the organisation has improved dramatically since we engaged with the Highgate and CNNECT teams. They were great to deal with and delivered against all expectations set out at the start of the project. We’re looking forward to seeing how they can help us continue to provide great outcomes for Invicro.'
